BONDI SDK DEVELOPMENT — A LiMo Foundation Project

Installation of the BONDI SDK for Eclipse 3.5

You do not need to have root or super user permissions to install the SDK.

You must have at least Java 6 installed.

Install Eclipse 3.5 Classic Edition

Classic Edition should include Eclipse Web Tools Platform (WTP). If your Eclipse installation is missing WTP you could manually install WTP from http://download.eclipse.org/webtools/updates/.

Installing the BONDI SDK plugin for the first time

In Linux, if you have problems with the Eclipse dialogs try export GDK_NATIVE_WINDOWS=true before launching eclipse.

Upgrading

There are known issues upgrading, so remove an existing BONDI SDK plugin in Help->About Eclipse->Installation Details then select BONDI SDK and press Uninstall.

Then follow the above steps as if it was the first install.

Checking WTP and BONDI SDK is installed correctly

To double check you’ve installed everything correctly, go to Help → About Eclipse SDK → Installation Details

Next check the plugin listing for the BONDI SDK plugin:

In both the feature or plugin listing you should find a version string associated with the particular release you are using. For a sanity check, double the version corresponds with what is printed on http://update.bondisdk.org/.

Getting started

Drag one of the examples from Web Samples view to try out filesystem and appconfig emulation in the SDK.
